Thought Leadership Sprint

A four-week program to write and share what you know

Stop collecting ideas and start sharing them with the world.

Have you spent your career building expertise in international affairs or internal medicine? Do you know a ton about gardening, or have you ever watched a new TV show and said to yourself, “I could write a whole think piece about that!”?

Consistent thought leadership writing can demonstrate not just that you know how to do something well, but that you understand the broader trends shaping the field. It can turn a job or personal interest into consulting work, volunteer opportunities, speaking engagements, or a whole new career. Writing helps you organize your own thoughts and join a larger conversation.

If you want to finally start writing about what you know, or you already write sometimes but need help moving past procrastination, join us this Fall.

Plan it. Write it. Pitch it or publish it. In four weeks.

You don’t need to be a trained writer to publish quality work; you just need structure and a plan to put your knowledge into words.

In this four-week program, you’ll take your ideas and craft them into an article, essay, or blog post. We’ll provide the structure and momentum you need to become a thought leader now, instead of “some day.”

  • Build momentum and accountability in the 4-week sprint

  • Learn strategies for moving from ideas to finished product

  • Finish 1 article or essay, ready to pitch or publish yourself

  • Keep a repeatable process to use again when you write your next article, essay, or post

“Though my colleagues and I come from different educational backgrounds and have a wide range of writing experience, each of us took away helpful pieces of advice that will be easy to implement. We were all left wanting more and look forward to scheduling a follow-up session.”

– Meredith Wade, Management Consultant, The Hope for Henry Foundation

Four weeks to transform what you know into a publishable piece.

Each week, we’ll share guidance and action steps on a part of the writing and publishing process. This schedule is designed to be manageable—but challenging. With accountability and momentum, you’ll move beyond half-finished drafts to a finished product. Then you can repeat the process whenever you need to.

WEEK 1 - Set goals and choose your topic
Prepare to write by narrowing your scope and defining your desired outcome.

WEEK 2 - Write a messy first draft
Learn why the ability to write a “bad” first draft is actually an invaluable skill. Get your thoughts on the page.

WEEK 3 - Edit your draft and get feedback
Writing is social, not solitary! Learn how to revise and polish your own work and see how it lands with others.

WEEK 4 - Pitch it or publish it
For the final step, you can choose to craft a pitch email to a target publication or upload your writing to your own blog, LinkedIn, or website.

How the sprint works

  • The 4-week Thought Leadership Sprint starts on Monday, October 5

  • We’ll email you a video lesson each Monday of the challenge, with an action step to complete that week

  • Watch the lessons on your own schedule

  • Complete that week’s brainstorming, writing, or editing step

  • Meet one-on-one with one of your writing instructors

  • End the month with a pitch sent or an article, essay, or post live online

“I have to tell you that our sessions helped my writing so much. I use what I learned every day and not just for work!”

- Amy Berry Hicks, Manager, Government Relations, Kellanova

Hi, we’re Grace and Casey, writing professors turned corporate writing consultants.

We’ve taught everyone from recent grads to PR executives to Navy SEALs how to communicate the value of their work.

And we’ve published our own writing in outlets you’ve heard of, like Forbes and Harvard Business Review.

In our workshops, we meet a lot of people who “want to write more.” We designed this program to help you push past the barriers—whether procrastination, uncertainty about where to start, or hesitancy about writing itself—so you can finally put your work out in the world and build a thought leadership writing practice that lasts long beyond these 4 weeks.

Turn experience and insight into a shareable thought leadership piece in four weeks.
